So, we’ve developed Shadowspec AR to make it easy for you to explore and visualise the perfect shade solution for your space. Choose a model, shape, size and color and then scan and place the umbrella in your space.

With our Augmented Reality, or AR, tool, you need to activate your smartphone’s camera, scan the real-world space around you on the screen and the system will overlay an image of an umbrella on your space.

It’s easy and fun to use. One click and your umbrella appears. From there, you can move the product around, try different models, and even change the colours, giving you total confidence before you buy.

Please note the scale is representative and shouldn’t be used for exact measurements, for the most accurate representation set the scale to 100%

There’s no need to install any software or download any apps – our system uses the camera on your smartphone to augment the umbrella in your space.

Using Shadowspec AR is easy,

After scanning the provided QR code with your smartphone camera,
press the AR Icon in the bottom right.
Your smartphone camera should now be on and ready to start scanning your space by following the screen prompts.

 

We recommend staying at least three meters away from the location where you’re going to place your item and walking around pointing your device’s camera at that location.

 

The item will be placed into the space at the correct size and scale.
If you want to change the size or location of the item once it is in the AR space, it’s easy.
Use your index finger and thumb on the screen and make a pincer movement opening and closing it to make the item larger or smaller.

 

It will show a percentage of the size. You also have full control over the angle of the product and can rotate the item by using two fingers on the item. Hold down with one finger while pushing up or down on the screen.

 

You’ll see the item rotate to move the item. Put your finger on the item on your screen and hold down while sliding your finger across the screen.

 

Now, using our AR system, you should be able to visualise the colour, model, size and position of the small world item in your location.

 

I recommend using the built-in camera function to take a screenshot, that way you can reference your layout in the future.
