The Shadowspec Serenity™ & Unity™ cantilever umbrellas are designed and made in-house by our experienced team. With a robust development cycle, dynamic feedback loop and the best materials in the world, this enables the team at Shadowspec to produce the best umbrella in the world.

Your umbrellas life starts at Shadowspec Headquarters in New Zealand. Our in-house design team uses a mix of data-driven insights and real-world testing to produce a considered final product.

Umbrella concepts are iterated and developed with CAD and rapid prototyping technologies. Aluminium, 316 stainless steel and solution-dyed fabrics are combined to build umbrellas that are elegant and refined.

Spacious Shade Is Provided by Our Bespoke Canopy Design

At Shadowspec we expect our fabric canopies to last as long as the frame itself so, the only corners we cut in the canopy production is with a laser machine and automated cutting table, allowing for accurate precision.

The Shadowspec Serenity and Unity canopies are produced with the same attention to detail as our umbrella frames. The dedicated textile team design, cut and sew the Shadowspec canopies using the latest in canvas technology.

Shadowspec umbrellas are shipped to our distribution centers across the world and when you’re ready to order – your choice of canopy colour, umbrella size, configuration, and mounting option are picked, sealed and delivered via our global distribution network.

Quality Control Is Central to Shadowspec’s Production Process

Shadowspec’s propriety umbrellas are hand-built at our in-house facility. Our New Zealand-based production team build to spec for global markets, providing unrivalled quality control of the umbrellas.

The Shadowspec Unity & Serenity masts come in two colours; Space Grey or curated Heron Black. Masts are checked and assembled with tough resin hubs, precision stainless steel fastening and a high-grade aluminium framework.

Patented technology that enables ease of use is installed before quality control runs over the umbrella as it is checked against the original design. To ensure every umbrella is dispatched to a high standard that we’re happy with, and of course, that you’ll be excited to receive, we complete two rounds of quality control on each umbrella before it is allowed to leave our warehouse.
